Next week is the Charles River Regatta! For those who don't know, it is an annual boating race held in the fall and I think the biggest attractions (except for the race itself) are the little stands outside giving out (yes, for free!) apple cider, cookies, and other yummies like that. I just love to stand out there with the wind in my face, sipping warm apple cider. It's a fall Must-Do. And it's totally worth it, honest.
Hopefully, this will be what the weather is like those days, 10/19 and 10/20! Mark your calendars!!!

Hi there Renuka! I'm looking forward to the Head of the Charles Regatta too! Date correction: it's on Oct 19 and 20, not 18 and 19.
For some reason writing comments from Chrome doesn't work. Anyway, also wanted to say -- the stalls with goodies sound like a lot of fun!
Love the picture Renuka. It would be a good idea to give "pic. credit" to wherever you got it from by mentioning the source. Remember, someone worked to take the picture, so acknowledging that would be a nice gesture.
I like----especially the (free) cakes and cookies and cider part! And it is always most invigorating to be out in the warm (but not hot) sun,
with a gentle breeze blowing, taking deep breaths of fresh air, and briskly exercising ---- well, one's eyes, as one stands by indolently and
watches poor saps plying the oars in the water as they propel themselves backwards:-) Have a nice Charles River Regatta day and
enjoy the cider!
Thanks for the comments!
I posted a comment a couple of days ago, but it didn't appear. I hope I have better luck this time !
Beautiful Regatta photo, Renuka.
What are those buildings in the background ?
Have fun on Oct. 19/20, and let us know how you enjoyed it.
It's a building at Harvard University.
